Students of the College of Pharmacy on a scientific field visit to Sama Al-Fayhaa Factory for Pharmaceutical Industries

The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah organized a scientific visit for students (the fifth stage) to the headquarters of the Sama Al-Fayhaa Factory for Pharmaceutical Industries, in order to learn about the mechanism of work in the pharmaceutical laboratory and the latest developments in it. The students also listened to a lecture about the factory and its departments by the factory management, after which they toured and examined the factory divisions include warehouses, water treatment plant, production lines, examinations and drug efficiency department
Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Negm, the supervisor of this visit, stated: The main objective of this scientific trip is for the students of the fifth stage to be acquainted, in a realistic and practical way, with the important departments in the pharmaceutical laboratory, especially the pharmaceutical production lines, including the production of pills, capsules, ointments, creams and gels, as well as the production of liquids, syrups and suspensions. Directly on the details of the production of pharmaceutical preparations, as well as identifying the important pharmaceutical tests within the pharmaceutical production line or the drug examination department in terms of efficiency after completing their production and before marketing them.
The students were accompanied by a number of professors specializing in the pharmaceutical industry from the pharmaceutics branch in the college.
