The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah received the ministerial delegation of the Directorate of Patents and Industrial Designs.
Where the visiting delegation held a workshop entitled Patents Cooperation Treaty (PCT 1970), where the workshop included several lectures that dealt with axes, including a general explanation on what international cooperation in the matter of patents is, conditions for registering a patent in the Patents and Industrial Designs Directorate through Patent Cooperation Treaty when entering the national phase Clarification of the requirements of the international filing process for a PCT application in the international phase in Iraq The workshop also included an explanation of how to protect the invention in several countries.
The workshop also dealt with, on the practical side, how to deal with entering the information required for patent registration and following the registration conditions in the Directorate of Patents and Industrial Designs through the Patent Cooperation Treaty when entering the national phase.
