Two faculty members at the College of Pharmacy participate in the activities of the International Day of the French Language Professor in Baghdad
Assistant Professor Dr. Alaa Abdul-Hussein Al-Surayh and Assistant Professor Dr. Iyad Qassem Mahdi, participated in the International Day of the French Language Professor at the French Cultural Institute / Baghdad as representatives of the University of Basrah.
The activities included three panel discussions that started with an introductory speech by the representatives of the French and Iraqi sides, followed by the first session, which was entitled: Prospects for the development of the French language in its educational framework, while the second session was entitled: Developing the French language curriculum and teaching aids, while the focus of the third session was: Modernizing and professionalizing For training courses for teachers of the French language
The panel discussions also reviewed the problems facing the French language and its development in Iraq, and proposals and solutions to ensure that. Some experiences were presented as exemplary examples, as the panel was concluded by Dr. Taghreed Abboud, head of the French Language Curriculum Reform Committee in Iraqi universities and a professor of French at the University of Baghdad.
