The College of Pharmacy is looking to use nanotechnology for the purpose of manufacturing nano-sized vectors

A master's thesis in the College of Pharmacy, Pharmaceutics department entitled
Formulation, characterization and evaluation of antibiotic loaded nanocarriers for action potentiation by Hussein Jabbar Bishara
The thesis dealt with the use of nanotechnology for the purpose of manufacturing nano-sized vectors in order to increase the effectiveness of antibiotics for the purpose of controlling bacterial resistance to these drugs.
The study concluded that the preparations (Cefotaxime niosomes) are highly effective against highly resistant types of bacteria.
The samples were tested in the laboratories of the College of Pharmacy / University of Basrah through the electron microscope laboratory, the microbiology research laboratory, and the graduate students research laboratory, under the supervision of the college professors.
