By self-efforts, University of Basrah provides the health departments in Iraq with more than (20,000) virus transporting medium (VTM) and (41,000) medical swabs

The Dean of the College of Pharmacy at University of Basrah , Dr. Falah Hassan Shri, said that the university, by its own efforts, was able to provide the Iraqi provincial health departments with more than (20,000) VTM for Corona virus and (41,000) medical swabs since the beginning of this month.  As fellow :The Iraqi Health Ministry (9148) VTM, health of Basra (6170) ,health of Dhi Qar (970),health of Al-Muthanna (1150),Wasit Health (700), Al Diwaniyah Health Department (350), Karbala Health Department (750, Kirkuk Health Department ( 400) , Nineveh Health (400), Maysan Health Department (500) VTMs. Sheri added that the university provided the Ministry of Health and the health departments in the governorates with twice the number of VTM as medical swabs for each department. He pointed out that the university, despite its own capabilities, was able to contribute to limiting the spread of the Corona pandemic by manufacturing the transporter and medical swabs, as well as reducing the burden of the economically concerned authorities due to the scarcity of the carrier’s existence due to the large global demand for it.
