A master's thesis in the College of Pharmacy examines the clinical pharmaceutical education about inhalers for asthma patients

 A master's thesis at the College of Pharmacy / University of Basrah (Assessment of the effect of the clinical pharmaceutical education program to improve the method of using the inhaler and its clinical results for asthma patients in Dhi Qar Governorate) for postgraduate student Abbas Khazal Akab 
 The thesis dealt with a study to determine the importance of the pharmacist's role in the treatment plan for asthma patients
 Where the study included taking samples from patients diagnosed with asthma from community pharmacies, the participants were divided into two groups, one was exposed to pharmaceutical intervention through an educational program specially prepared for the study, and the other was for observation.  
 The results showed a clear improvement in the health status of asthma patients on all the measures specified in the study after applying the pharmaceutical education program for the study group.
 This study concluded the important role and positive results expected from the pharmacist's intervention and taking a greater role in his field of work as an active member in the field of health care.
 As part of the recommendations of the discussion committee, the discussion stressed the importance of generalizing the experience of educational programs on a broader level to be included among the duties of the pharmacist's work in pharmacies in general.
