The Dean of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah Prof. Falah Hassan Shari, presented the Iraqi ambassador to Japan, a shield of thanks and gratitude to Prof. Abdul-Karim Al-Kaabi and his deputy, Mr. Mithaq, for their efforts in receiving the Iraqi delegation in Tokyo to participate in the international conference held by Fujita Medical University in Nagawa, Japan
 For his part, Professor Abdul Karim praised the University of Basrah for winning two Oscars for the Times Higher Education classification in Asian universities. He also thanked the visiting delegation for the scientific achievements that the University of Basrah presented to the country.
