The Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Falah Hassan Shari, met with an Iraqi delegation from the University of Basrah, headed by the President of the University of Basrah, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi and his accompanying delegation;  He met a delegation from Jiba University in Tokyo as part of a meeting that was held between the two parties in Tokyo.
 Shari said: A memorandum of understanding was signed between the two universities, which included the most important points in the exchange of experiences between the teaching staff and cooperation in the field of scientific research in all areas of life that serve the community, in addition to attracting foreign lecturers to teach at the University of Basrah and benefiting from their experiences and training the educational cadres of both parties within  A systematic plan for the development of education and the exchange of experiences.
 Shri added: We also toured the university corridors, laboratories, and halls, and inspected its infrastructure, in addition to learning about the university’s educational system and benefiting from the application of some of it within our university system in the future.

 For its part, the Japanese side praised the University of Basrah’s winning of the Academy Award for Higher Education at the Asian Summit, as well as in the face of the Corona pandemic.
