A faculty member at the College of Pharmacy receives a certificate of participation in a scientific workshop on nausea and vomiting in cancer patients

 Faculty of Pharmacy professor Dr. Falah Hassan Shari received a certificate of participation in the international workshop (Management of Nausea and vomiting caused by Chemotherapy : According to the Latest Guidelines) organized by Russia's Pharma courses, an independent online education platform for healthcare professionals in the Middle East.  Middle and North Africa.  The workshop included a detailed explanation about nausea, which is a very common side effect of chemotherapy, and despite the use of antiemetic drugs that interfere with certain neurotransmitters that lead to vomiting, more than 70% of patients undergoing chemotherapy reported what is known as treatment-induced nausea.  Chemotherapy or CIN There are three types of chemotherapy-induced nausea - anticipatory nausea that occurs before the chemotherapy itself and is simply due to anticipation and anxiety before treatment and acute nausea that is most severe and occurs within 24 hours of treatment;  Finally, delayed nausea occurs during the following five days of treatment
