A lecturer at the faculty of Pharmacy publishes a paper in an international journal included within Scopus index

Dr. Enas Abdel-Saheb, a lecturer at the College of Pharmacy, published a paper about the effect of Nigella sativa and other plants on bacterial isolated from diabetic foot ulcers in the Indian Drug Invention  Today journal. The journal is with an effect factor 0.895 and included within Scopas index . The research included isolating different bacterial races from patients with diabetic foot ulcers in different areas (foot, heel, ankle, big toe) and from both sexes, as the isolation was done by the tissue sample method, which is a good method for isolating bacteria from pathological samples. The effect of black seed, vegetable oils and other compounds in inhibiting these bacteria was also studied, compared to antibiotics.  The aim of the research was to find out the effect of black seed and other vegetable oils and compounds against diabetic foot bacteria.
