The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah opens a laboratory for instrumental pharmaceutical analysis on the occasion of the anniversary of the founding of the University of Basrah 

 The Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah opened a laboratory for instrumental pharmaceutical analysis as part of the college's activities to celebrate the fifty-fifth anniversary of the founding of the University of Basrah   the Head of the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department Prof. Dr. Rahim Jamil Muhaisen, stated: In honor of the anniversary of the founding of the university, the Pharmaceutical Instrumental Analytics Laboratory was opened to support the scientific research process and provide modern technical pharmaceutical analysis that save effort and cost for graduate students of the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department and all researchers, in addition to providing financial credit to the college.  Dr. Rahim added: The laboratory includes a set of modern laboratory devices through which it is possible to diagnose manufactured pharmaceutical compounds such as the visible-ray spectrometer and the infrared spectrometer.  As well as an HPLC chromatography device, through which it is possible to know the purity of drugs as well as to follow them in different samples. The Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometer can be used for the purpose of knowing the concentrations of trace elements in the human body or in plant samples that are essential to the body or estimating some toxic elements in the body or using  The device for studying environmental pollutants that are considered highly toxic, and the laboratory is a basic nucleus for the establishment of an integrated laboratory for standardization and quality control.
