 The teaching staff at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah, lecturer Zainab Abdul Razzaq Hassan, obtained a certificate of participation in the international lecture (Statistical Analysis from Traditional Statistical Methodologies to Data Mining Techniques), which was organized by the Researchers and Academics Platform (EFAD) and the IFAD Scientific Academy with the participation of researchers and specialists.
 The lecture included an explanation about the diversity of methods of statistical analysis of data, and knowing one or more of them is an important requirement for many groups. Statistics is defined as the science that is concerned with collecting, arranging, categorizing and analyzing data, and producing important results that decision makers can rely on in dealing with a topic or problem.  In the past, the central goal of statistics was to do inventory or enumeration, in a quantitative way, and with the development of life, the emergence of regular societies, and the intertwining of aspects of scientific, social and economic life, there has become an urgent need for the existence of statistical theories used in measurement and forecasting, especially in that  The need to process metadata or qualitative data.
