The researchers at the College of Pharmacy at University of Basrah Shahd Muhammad Najeeb, Prof. Dr. Osama Ayoub Yaqoub and Associate Professor Dr. Mohsen Saghir Ghalib published a paper entitled (Evaluation of the synergistic effect of the antioxidant in the combination therapy of Taxifulin and Vitamin C against renal impairment caused by diazinon) in Bulletin of The Egyptian Pharmaceutical Sciences Assiut University has an impact factor of 0.9 and is within Scopas containers.
The research included studying the effect of pesticides in Iraq and that the increase in the use of pesticides in the wrong way could not be controlled, which led to an increase in the incidence of chronic diseases such as chronic nephropathy, diabetes and other metabolic disorders.
The aim of the study was to evaluate the synergistic effect of antioxidants in the combination therapy of taxifolin and vitamin C against diazinon-induced renal impairment.
The study showed that administration of Taxifulolin and semi-acute Vitamin C has a protective effect for the kidneys against oxidative stress caused by Diazinon.
