Teaching staff at faculty of Pharmacy publish a paper in a scientific journal

Doctors from college of pharmacy Dr. Ghassan Salah, Dr. Bader Saleh, Dr. Mazen Nazem and Dr. Abdul Razzaq Hamid published a research paper entitled (Measuring general knowledge of diabetes among pharmacists in the Basrah metropolitan area) in the Systematic reviews in pharmacy, the Indian journal with an impact and within Scopus index . The  research showed that the number of  people with diabetes has become more than tripled over the past four decades.The education can play a role in improving adherence to drug regimens and pharmacists can play a vital role in educating patients.  The aim of the research was to determine the level of knowledge about diabetes among pharmacists in Basrah Governorate, where a survey was conducted among hospital pharmacists in different regions for the period between January 2019 and April 2019. 50 pharmacists participated in this study, as most pharmacists had moderate knowledge about diabetes, which necessitates the need to apply continuing medical and pharmaceutical education.
