The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on biological safety in research laboratories, with the participation of researchers and specialists.

The workshop included a lecture delivered by Dr. Alaa Abdul-Hussein Al-Sareeh, in which he dealt with a brief overview of the concept of biological safety and its levels, methods and procedures to reduce biological risks that researchers may be exposed to in laboratories. To protect its employees from exposure to chemicals, as well as visit some laboratories of the College of Pharmacy and learn about biological safety procedures in practice.
