The College of Pharmacy organizes the Cure Herb Festival

 The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah organized the annual Herb Healing Festival under the slogan (We give to live)
 Where the festival began with any of the Holy Qur’an, then Surat Al-Fatihah was recited to the souls of our pure martyrs, then the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Falah Hassan Shari, gave a speech in which he explained the importance of medicinal herbs and their positive impact on the body and the reduction of diseases if used by the correct medical methods. He also indicated that the activities of the College of Pharmacy at Basra University are nothing but an embodiment of all the scientific, cultural and human energies that the university possesses. The Herb Healing Festival is a platform for spreading the culture of herbs and their importance to public health.
  Then Dr. Ola Al-Moussawi, the organizer of this festival, gave her speech in which she said that the importance of herbs and their healing and curative properties has become today the goal of society. Two years after the Corona pandemic, most pharmaceutical and medical research was based on finding effectiveness from plants, whether they were known or unknown, and that  The College of Pharmacy is a pioneer in community service, as this place embraced a cell of the best professors of our university to manufacture the carrier medium during the most severe periods of the pandemic to save the lives of thousands of people, and here it is the same place today that welcomes you in the festival of the healing herb.
 A group of innovators of the College of Pharmacy, including professors, students, and employees, were honored in appreciation of their efforts in serving the college and the high ranks it has reached today within the national and international classifications.
 Then the festival opened, which included an exhibition of herbs and plants, a charitable market, a book fair, an exhibition of medicines, and another for plants and roses of all kinds, the proceeds of which go to the Child Cancer Hospital.
