University of Basrah organized a scientific symposium about the academic work and activities.

College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah organized a symposium entitled: (Scientific research is the basis of the academic work).  The symposium discussed important topics that aim to stimulate and activate the aspect of scientific research in the life of the academic staff, especially it has become retreating compared with the research works in the other countries of the world. 
The first topic  of the symposium included a definition of the scientific research group that was recently established in the college , the research work and future activities of the research group. 
The second topic included presentation of some members of the researchers group in various disciplines to be the first step in collaboration and communication in order to link the scientific ideas among the researchers .This arranges  to construct effective research teams in the future. 
The third topic was about the activation of journal club in the college  which aims to keep researchers at the level of the international scientific events .The symposium recommended to urge the researchers to keep up the good work in fields scientific research in the college and invite the other researchers to participate in different activities of the scientific research group in the College of Pharmacy .It also recommended on the necessity of teamwork to find solutions to several problems that face  the researcher,especially financial support.
