The College of Pharmacy holds a scientific symposium on computational chemistry

The College of Pharmacy at Basra University held a scientific symposium entitled (Computational Chemistry in Drug Discovery and Design) with the participation of researchers and specialists. The symposium included several lectures, including a lecture was given by Dr. Iyad Abd Ali Al-Hamashi from the College of Pharmacy at the University of Baghdad on the adoption of computational drug design in the discovery of selective inhibitors of L-arginine methyltransferase. Whereas, Dr. Rita Sabah Elias from the College of Pharmacy, University of Basra, gave a lecture on the investigation of the effect of compensated groups on curcuminoid affinity towards transthyretin through compatibility and molecular dynamics. As for Dr. Bader Saleh Salem only, he participated in a lecture on suitability or conformity in drug discovery.
