The College of Pharmacy organizes a seminar on stroke

The Pharmacology and Toxicology Department at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah organized a seminar entitled (A New Era for Stroke Treatment: Neurovascular Intervention... An Overview)
The discussion session aimed to introduce the audience to the symptoms of stroke, the importance of time in treatment, and to spread awareness regarding prevention and treatment of stroke.
The discussion panel included a lecture given by Dr. Shaima Muhammad Ali in which she gave an introductory overview of neurovascular intervention, its diagnostic and therapeutic uses, and the importance of this precise specialty in treating many critical diseases affecting the head, neck, and spinal cord.
The lecture focused on the use of vascular intervention to treat stroke, indicating that this intervention is considered more effective than the old therapeutic methods used to treat this disease, which is considered the second leading cause of death in the world.
