Dean of the College of Pharmacy Explores Prospects of Joint Academic and Research Cooperation with Ferdowsi and Mashhad Universities of Medical Sciences

Dr. Jubran elucidated that this specialized academic tour systematically proceeds based upon the mutual cooperation agreement previously ratified between the University of Basrah and both Mashhad University of Medical Sciences and Ferdowsi University. This critical agreement was formally endorsed by the President of the University of Basrah, Professor Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi. The strategic visit aimed primarily to finalize, draft, and prepare the necessary execution for crucial scientific contracts. The extensive field tour systematically included a direct review of advanced laboratory infrastructures, academic classrooms, and an assessment of available scientific capabilities, in addition to comprehensively evaluating the academic systems and interacting productively with the esteemed teaching staff and students.

His Excellency emphatically added that the delegation exclusively met with distinguished members of the College Council at Ferdowsi University's College of Pharmacy to thoroughly discuss precise avenues for enhancing sustainable bilateral cooperation. During this pivotal meeting, foundational mechanisms for a rigorous joint scientific collaboration were formally established. This prominently includes the potential execution of advanced research laboratory tests mutually between the two colleges, and the systematic exchange of postgraduate students to substantially bolster research efforts and facilitate rigorous scientific publishing. Notably, the College of Pharmacy at Ferdowsi University proudly possesses a highly prestigious international academic standing, achieving the rank of (301) in the globally renowned Shanghai Ranking, and effectively securing the second national position immediately following Tehran University of Medical Sciences.
