The College of Pharmacy organizes a scientific symposium for first-year students for the academic year 2023/2024

The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah organized a scientific symposium for first-year students accepted into the College of Pharmacy for the academic year 2023/2024.
The symposium included lectures that began with a lecture by Professor Dr. Sanaa Jawad Al-Mayah, the official in charge of the Sports Activities Unit in the college. Through her lecture, she demonstrated the importance of the Sports Activities Unit in the college and explained with a simplified explanation of the sports tournaments that the unit holds annually and the possibility of students participating in them in order to reduce the pressure of study and discover sports talents. . As for the second lecture, it was given by the head of the Women’s Empowerment Unit, Assistant Lecturer Najla Al-Saffar. She explained the guidance directives and the mobilization of the positive spirit to receive the scientific energies that qualify them to complete the desired path of gradual, logical development. She also demonstrated the method of accepting ideas and peaceful coexistence, and that the university is an opportunity and a place to re-crystallize the personality. As for the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Karam Allah Shaker, he explained, through his lecture, the laws of student discipline, how to deal with problems that a student may face, and the series of administrative hierarchies that a student must follow when submitting a request or complaint. Dr. Karam also stressed the importance of adhering to the uniform as it represents a civilized image of the university campus, the last lecture by the head of the Educational and Psychological Guidance Unit, Professor Dr. Hussein Hassan Hussein, addressed some important advice on how the student should deal with the professor and how he should deal with his colleagues and the most important educational advice and phrases that encourage the student to study, diligently, and achieve academic excellence without getting tired or bored. By explaining some positive habits that stimulate intelligence and positive thinking, even if there are academic or psychological pressures that the student experiences during his academic career.
