The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah is preparing for the winter agricultural season with a comprehensive campaign to rehabilitate lands and plant greenery, following Ministry of Higher Education directives.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Ola Mohammad Nour Al-Mousawi, Head of the Pharmacognosy Department, stated that the campaign involves soil fertilization, tilling, and planting winter-resilient seedlings. Advanced drainage systems were also implemented to counteract soil salinity.
The initiative saw enthusiastic participation from students, who actively planted various tree species to enhance the aesthetic value of the campus and provide a natural environment for both staff and students.
