The University of Basrah signed a memorandum of understanding with the University of Lorestan in the Islamic Republic of Iran. This is within the activities of Science Week between Iraq and the Islamic Republic. The agreement was signed by the President of the University of Basrah, Professor Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, in the presence of his deputy Professor Dr. Falah Hassan Shri, and the accompanying delegation.
The agreement included scientific cooperation and student, academic and administrative exchange to consolidate long-term mutual benefit between the two universities and enhance scientific and research cooperation between the two parties in accordance with the relevant laws, national rules and regulations in force in the two countries and the agreements in force in them, and within the available resources of each of them, as well as scientific exchange between faculty members and researchers. Students for the purposes of teaching, research and academic courses, or developing programs and exchanging publications and scientific materials, in addition to developing joint cooperation projects and research programs between the two parties and participating in scientific meetings and conferences held in both countries.
