Clinical Pharmacy Department Organizes Seminar on "Translational Pharmacy Research" Concept

The Clinical Pharmacy Department at the College of Pharmacy, University of Basrah, hosted a scientific seminar entitled "The Concept of Translational Pharmacy Research", with the participation of a group of researchers and specialists.

The seminar featured a lecture by Asst. Prof. Ali Mohammed Hadi, who explained that translational pharmacy involves bridging the gap between basic pharmaceutical knowledge and patient care (Bench-to-Bedside). This approach aims to convert lab discoveries into direct clinical applications and utilize clinical feedback to inform laboratory investigation.

The lecture emphasized that adopting this concept solves the problem of underutilized research, preventing the waste of resources on discoveries that do not align with clinical needs. He highlighted the experience of international leaders like Johns Hopkins University, which employs multidisciplinary teams across medical and pharmaceutical fields to address clinical discrepancies with innovative precision.
