The Pharmaceutics Department at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah organized a seminar entitled (Nano-drug carriers manufactured in the form of successive layers and their applications in cancer treatments) with the participation of researchers and specialists.
The panel discussion included a lecture given by the teacher, Malath Abdul Latif Odeh, in which he explained that this type of carrier represents modern methods of administering cancer drugs and gene therapies. Where it provides an effective and successful carrier to deliver drugs to cancerous tissue only and avoid their delivery to healthy tissue, which provides many benefits, including reducing side effects of cancer treatments.
This type of nano carrier is characterized by ease of manufacture and stability compared to other nano carriers. In addition, the research on this type of carriers still does not cover the need for that. From a research point of view, carriers manufactured by successive layer method provide fertile material for scientific research.
