 The College of Pharmacy held its annual evaluation conference for the academic year 2021-2022  Where the conference was opened with verses from the Holy Quran, the reading of Surat Al-Fatihah on the souls of the martyrs and the playing of the national anthem, then a speech by the Dean of the College, Explained some of the college’s achievements and successes during the last year in scientific and administrative fields in which the college’s activities in Developing its highest level of resonance through international classifications, the level of graduate and undergraduate studies, and the extent of the interaction and contribution of professors to scientific events, including workshops, seminars, and global and local electronic lectures, which would open ways to look forward to the world's scientific development.  Assistant Professor Dr. Gibran Khalil Hassan reviewed the conference's topics, which included the virtual and in-person scientific aspect, and how the teaching staff in the college contributed to bringing about a radical change in the level of education and support for scientific and research activity in all areas that serve the community, as well as at the level of preliminary studies. Biosafety was introduced within the curricula in the second stage of the undergraduate study and updating the curricula of some lessons such as pharmaceutical chemistry and Pharmacognosy   In addition to concluding scientific agreements with local and foreign universities to twin the joint scientific work in order to advance the reality of education towards global development.  In his review of the college's achievements, Gibran also dealt with obtaining an advanced position in the national classification of Iraqi universities over the colleges of the medical group at the University of Basrah as well as obtaining the first place in developing websites at the University of Basrah the second place in the university's electronic week, and the first place in the university's inventory week.  In the aspect of community service, he also dealt with the college’s collection of donations for the Children’s Specialized Hospital, the visits made by the college staff to the elderly homes, orphanages and families of martyrs, the distribution of food baskets to needy families during the month of Ramadan, and the organization of charitable markets, the proceeds of which go to the families of the martyrs and the home of the martyrs.  Elderly or orphans.  The conference reviewed the achievements of the scientific departments , where the heads of the departments presented what had been accomplished at the scientific, research and infrastructure levels for each department during the last year.
