The teaching staff at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah, Assistant Professor Dr. Ola Muhammad Nour Al-Moussawi, and a research team from the College of Science/Environment Department and the College of Education made a scientific trip to the lands between the Iraqi-Kuwaiti borders.
 Al-Moussawi indicated: The purpose of this trip is to cover the border lands in the areas of Jerashan, Khader Al-May and Hafr Al-Batin to survey the different types of plants found in those areas, including medicinal plants, to know the diversity of vegetation cover in the wild areas of Basra Governorate.
