The Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences at the College of Pharmacy, University of Basrah, held a workshop titled 'Using Artificial Intelligence Tools in Creating Multiple-Choice Questions and Modern Examination Formats' as part of the college’s academic development programs aimed at keeping pace with digital transformation in higher education.
The workshop included a lecture delivered by Dr. Qutaiba Abdulkarim Qasim, who explained the mechanisms of using AI tools to formulate various types of MCQs and how to utilize artificial intelligence in preparing applied and clinical questions in the pharmaceutical field. He also highlighted the scientific standards necessary to ensure the quality and reliability of questions generated through AI tools such as SmallPDF, Quizgecko, QuesGen, Coral, and Quizrise. The session also featured hands-on activities that involved creating exam questions in real time using AI tools.
This workshop is part of the college’s plan to enhance the capabilities of faculty members in digital transformation and to develop modern assessment methods in accordance with approved academic standards.
