The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah discussed a Master's thesis titled: "Preparation and Evaluation of the Biological Activity of Some New Nitrones and Schiff Bases Derived from Heterocyclic Compounds."

The research, presented by student Noor Al-Hoda Jaleel Al-Musawi, focused on synthesizing pyrazole derivatives and evaluating their anti-cancer properties on lung cancer cell lines (A549).

The study explored the ability of these new compounds to inhibit the EGFR enzyme, providing a promising scientific foundation for targeted therapies with enhanced safety and efficacy.
