Training Course on "Chemistry Laboratory Safety" Organized for First-Year Students

The head of the unit, Lecturer Rawaq Thamer, stated that the course covered fundamental protocols, warning symbols, and the secure handling of glassware, chemical agents, and laboratory instruments. Participants also learned basic first-aid measures to be applied in case of minor laboratory incidents.

The primary objective of this course was to instill laboratory safety awareness in new students to ensure the well-being of all university personnel. This initiative also helps in environmental conservation, pollution mitigation, and the preservation of university facilities.
