The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah allocates a medical detachment for visitors of Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him)

The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah, in cooperation with the College of Pharmacy at Al-Maqal University, set up a medical detachment on the road between Samawah and Nasiriyah to provide health and treatment services to visitors walking on foot on the occasion of the Arbaeen visit.
The Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Gibran Khalil Hassan, said: In an initiative that visitors considered important, a group of professors and members of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah, in cooperation with the College of Pharmacy at Al-Maqal University, set up a medical detachment on the road between the Batha area and the holy Karbala for the purpose of providing medical services to visitors of Arbaeen.
Jibran continued: The detachment was established through the efforts of the members of the College of Pharmacy and its professors in the two universities. Our team included professors, members, and students in addition to female employees to treat women. We provided services to the marchers and participants in the mourning, including providing them with self-funded medicines and medical supplies such as supports and belts in addition to devices to measure sugar and blood pressure and everything the visitor needs during the march. It is worth noting that this initiative by the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah is held annually on the occasion of the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) as part of voluntary activities in serving the community.
