The University of Basrah signed a memorandum of understanding with the Institute of Food Research and Technology in Iran, as part of the Science Week activities between Iraq and the Islamic Republic. The agreement was signed by the President of the University of Basrah, Professor Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, in the presence of his representative, Professor Dr. Falah Hassan Shri, and the accompanying delegation.
The memorandum included the exchange of information about research and educational programs, cooperation in research projects of common interest, joint organization of short-term continuing education programs on topics of common interest, joint organization of seminars, conferences or workshops on topics of common interest and participation in sponsored research or training programs. Funding and exchange agencies, on a reciprocal basis, between students at the graduate level for limited periods of time for the purpose of research; Cooperation in supervising postgraduate students.
