Minister Empowers Universities to Set Second-Round Exam Dates and Launches New Academic Year
H.E. Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, has granted universities the operational authority to determine internal second-round examination dates, while officially announcing the 2023-2024 academic session commencement.

Full administrative authority is decentralized to Iraqi universities to schedule second-round exams for the 2022-2023 academic year according to their institutional requirements.
2023-2024 Academic Session
The Ministry has officially designated September 17, 2023, as the primary start date for the new academic year across all higher education institutions.
