The College of Pharmacy organizes a set of flipped class courses to train its teaching staff

The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah, in cooperation with the Francophone Agency for Universities (AUF), organized a training course within the French e-learning project to accelerate the digital transformation of higher education in the Middle East (FSPI) with the participation of researchers and specialists.
The course included lectures delivered by the head of the University of Basrah team for the French e-learning project, Dr. Uday Bashir Issa and Dr. Zainab Ali Khalaf, in which he explained the importance of the flipped classroom and training teaching staff on the latest digital technologies in blended education.
The course dealt with many important topics to develop the ability of academic staff, including applications and digital tools in the field of educational content industry, learning design and assessment, in addition to the delivery of a project by each trainee on the electronic platform that includes designing a study unit according to the pillars of the flipped classroom and downloading all relevant basic educational resources in addition to the list of good practices and infographic of the flipped class.
The aim of the course is to identify how to give some of the teaching paragraphs and various educational activities specified in timings and resources before the class, then carry out active and focused teaching in order to deepen the educational objectives of the study unit within the classroom and finally carry out other activities after the class carried out by the learners under the guidance and follow-up of the subject teacher.
