The scientific team of the Crisis Cell at University of Basrah contributed to training cadres from the Health Directorate of Najaf, the University of the Ameed and the Al-Kafeel National University in the holy Karbala. The Dean of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah , Dr. Falah Hasan Shri, stated that cadres from the Health Directorate of Najaf and the Universities of al-Kafeel and AL Ameed were trained in the holy Karbala and they obtained certificates on the subject of the preparation and production of VTMs and medical swabs, and he continued: trained by Dr. Ahmed Hashim Hussein , Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the AL Ameed University, Dr. Dergham Qassim Shahid Associate Dean of  Pharmacy at the University Al kafeel in order to contribute to this initiative in solving the crisis and enable the cadres of universities and departments of health in The governorates of Iraq to produce the VTMs and fill the needs of their governorates to limit the spread of the virus and until its decline. He added that the Najaf Health Directorate was also granted 300 VTMs and 600 medical swabs to enhance their capabilities in examining those suspected of being infected with the Coronavirus.
