The College of Pharmacy, in cooperation with the Tasnim Scouts Association, organized a ceremony to receive the first-stage students who were accepted for the academic year 2022/2023 The ceremony included reading a verse of the Holy Quran, then the national anthem, and reading Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of our righteous martyrs.
After that, the ceremony was opened with a speech by the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, which was delivered on his behalf by the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Dawood Glubb Halil, in which he said: “Dear children, I advise you to be serious about your studies and achievement, and to make use of your time as much as possible, whether you devote it to study or student activity. Student activities in all their cultural, sports and social diversities are polished The student’s experiences expand his perceptions and allow him the opportunity to meet and interact with his peer students within his college or from other colleges. The university, before being a place for acquiring knowledge, is a place for educating minds and refining morals and natures. I hope that you will use your university years to deepen dialogue and continue friendship and fruitful cooperation with Your colleagues and professors on all academic, life and social topics, provided that you rise to the language of dialogue, commitment to principles, honorable morals, and acceptance of the other. We also promise to provide you with all we can of help to solve all problems and face all difficulties that you may encounter within the college, and we expect a lot of diligence, discipline and activity from you. And we, as officials, academics and educators, will be very happy when each year ends and everyone has achieved what he wishes) Then the scientific assistant, Assistant Professor Dr. Laila Jassim Abbas, delivered her speech, where she wished the students a new beginning in promoting the university educational process through success and excellence. To have morals that are commensurate with their scientific level and their position as future pharmacists, advising them to master time management and organization, and that the strength of beginnings leads to great results in the end.
  After that, the official of the Tasnim Scout Association, Mr. Muhammad Attia Al-Aboudi, gave his speech, indicating the recommendations for the students of the first stage, explaining the importance of the university stage and how to delve into it and achieve distinction and success, in addition to the need to consolidate good educational qualities and the importance of scientific and cultural volunteer activities in the college because of the human values it gives to the individual and society.
